Lets get some conversations going.
Breeding is a joy, but theres always the ugly side. The excitement of hatching eggs, regardless of the species, and seeing what you produced. The unfortunate reality is that not every egg is going to produce a healthy animal.
Lets talk about it. What is your criteria for determinig quality of life? If a hatchling needs to be "dispatched" what is your humane method?
Im a new breeder with reptiles. But i bred pet quality rats years ago. On the rare occasion a baby needed to be euthanaized i would either put it in a co2 chamber. Or if it was big enough, I'd do cervical dislocation. Nether method was easy for me. It broke my heart every single time, but since i was playing god, bringing these animals into the world, i owed it to them to end any unnecessary suffering. Its an ugly truth, but a truth nontheless.
