HERMIT CRABS CAB CHANGE SEXS THROUGH ITS LIFETIME? 40 YEAR OLD HERMIT CRAB?

So hermit crabs are probably something we have all had at some point in our life’s or at least been curious about them… unfortunately most of the hermit crabs are all wild caught and when they are caught they go through a horrible time getting to the pet trade! They are probably one of the hardest species to breed due to the need to create the ocean for them to spawn in!

They live in groups if 100s in the wild and some say that they can change sex’s from male to female and so forth but the evidence is light due to having a hard time tracking the same crab through out its life but studies are being done right now to get some final answers! They can also live for at least 40 years which is a long time for a crab! They eat basically anything we eat with over 800 species it does differ a little form species to species!
