ONLY TWO SPECIES OF ALLIGATORS?

There are in fact only two species of alligators belonging to the family aligatoridae of the order crocodilia! The Chinese alligator and the American alligator!

The American alligator and the American crocodile can only be found in the Everglades together thats the only place in the world you will see both species!

“Chinese alligator-Smaller than the American alligator and more heavily armored. They live in the Yangtze River valley and are critically endangered, with only a few dozen believed to be left in the wild”

“American alligator
Can grow to be over 13 feet long and live for more than 60 years. They live in freshwater and brackish environments, such as ponds, marshes, wetlands, rivers, lakes, and swamps”
